In 1993, Julia Nagle joined the Hamilton Kerr Institute, University of Cambridge, where she treated Old Master paintings for public collections, including The Fitzwilliam Museum and The Royal Collection. In 2003 she moved to Tate Modern to specialise in the conservation of paintings from 1900 to the present day. Julia established her London Studio in 2009 and has since built a team of conservators with an international reputation in the conservation of modern and contemporary paintings. JNC Ltd provide services to insurers, commercial and public galleries, living artists and private collectors globally, and are the official conservators for Frieze and Frieze London Art Fairs. The Studio is committed to public outreach and academic research into this growing field, and publish articles where client confidentiality allows. Outside the conservation profession Julia has presented at various institutions including Sotheby’s Institute of Art, University of the Arts London, and the Slade School of Art at UCL.
