Conference 2014

After the success of Budapest 2013, we are delighted to announce that by a huge majority you voted for IFASIC 2014 to be held on the wonderful island of Malta.

For those of you who are not familiar with this lovely little Mediterranean island, Malta lies 80 km south of Sicily, and covers just over 300 km2 (120 sq mi), making it one of the world’s smallest and most densely populated countries. The capital of Malta is Valletta which holds the honor of being the smallest capital in the EU.

Malta’s location as a naval base has given it great strategic importance throughout history, and a succession of powers including the Phoenicians, Romans, Moorish, Normans, Knights of St. John, French and the British ruled the islands. Malta gained independence from the United Kingdom in 1964 and became a republic in 1974.

Our venue for 2014 is in the lovely town of St Julian’s, which is just along the coast from the islands capital Valletta.

The conference will take place on the 23rd & 24th October. However our proceedings start on the 22nd October, with everyone getting to enjoy some of the last of the summer sun, with drinks on the terrace, whilst the sun sets over the Mediterranean.

Further details will follow shortly, including details on our venue, itinerary, speakers and workshops. However if in the mean time you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact one of the team who will be happy to assist.
