Much like the diamonds, Antwerp sparkles with an impressive range of architecture from medieval buildings to the Art Nouveau styles. Antwerp is a splendid city with most buildings dating from the 16th and 17th centuries. You will visit Rubens House, represented by the numerous paintings of Peter Paul Rubens who lived in Antwerp in the early 17th century. Three major paintings of his may be seen in the Cathedral of our Lady, a masterpiece of lace work in stone, it is one of the finest gothic buildings in Europe.
Antwerp is the diamond centre of the World. If diamonds really are a girl’s best friend, then a lot of ladies will not leave out a visit to Antwerp’s diamond district, you will also visit the Grand Central Railway Station.

Day 2 • Friday 18th October
Boat trip • River Scheldt • €50
14:30pm
Instead of a Friday morning tour, partners are invited to the delegate tour on Friday afternoon at 14:30 – River Scheldt boat trip.
A boat tour on the Scheldt is an easy way of seeing all aspects of the port from close by. Just sit back, relax and watch the ships, quays, cranes and terminals glide past, together with Antwerp’s skyline.
From the water you see the port from a completely different angle, in the docks and on the Scheldt. You get a fantastic view of the activities on the terminals, sail past giant container carriers hundreds of metres long, and experience the huge extent of the vast port area.
