Steve Gonzalez
Steve Gonzalez is the Senior Supervisory Resident Agent (SSRA) of the Brooklyn-Queens Resident Agency (BQRA) in the New York Division (NYO) of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He entered on duty as a Special Agent in 2003 and has been an integral member of the NY Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF), Criminal, and Counterintelligence branches in the NYO as well as the Counterterrorism Division at FBIHQ in Washington D.C., and has led multiple international operations. Currently, he is the supervisor of the FBI/NYPD Joint Major Theft Task Force (JMTTF) responsible for the disruption and dismantlement of Major Theft syndicates (i.e., Commercial/Hobbs Act Robbery, ORC, Jewelry and Gem theft, Art and Antiquity Crime, Cargo Theft, etc.) in the NYO AOR. In addition to his assigned duties as investigator and team leader, SSRA Gonzalez utilizes his background as a Clinical/Forensic Psychologist as a member of the Crisis Negotiation Team and the NYO Threat/Risk Management Advisory Committee, and also provides behavioral assessment consultation to investigative units and covert operations throughout the FBI. Prior to the FBI, SSRA Gonzalez was a commissioned officer in the United States Navy including multiple overseas deployments on special operations capable platforms during Operation Enduring Freedom.
