Rebecca started her career as a claims Specialist at XL Catlin / AXA XL managing claims across various lines of business.

In 2016 she moved into Specialty Claims team and is currently managing a portfolio of Fine Art Specie, Accident & Health and Crisis Management claims.

During her time at AXA XL Rebecca has managed several FAS binders and direct accounts including  Jewellers Block, Fine Arts, Cash in Transit, Museums and Private Collectors.  Last year she completed a secondment to the Singapore office where she had the opportunity to handle local FAS claims.

Prior to working with XL Catlin, Rebecca provided both underwriting and claims assistance at another global insurer while completing her Bachelor of Law.

Rebecca became a qualified lawyer in February 2017.

Owen Carragher is a vastly experienced litigator, having served in both government and private practice during his career. His practice focuses upon insurance coverage, commercial litigation, investigation and privacy matters with a particular emphasis on the fine art and specie sectors throughout the United States. Before joining Clyde & Co, Owen served as a founding member of a distinguished New York law firm. He began his career as an assistant district attorney in New York County, where he focused on the investigation and prosecution of sophisticated financial crimes, and organized crime groups.

Elizabeth Gorayeb is Executive Director of the Wildenstein Plattner Institute, Inc., a non-profit art historical research foundation based in New York.  For nearly two decades, Elizabeth has specialized in research on the provenance and attribution of works of art and has lectured widely on this topic. As Director of Research as well as Senior VP in the Impressionist and Modern Art department at Sotheby’s, Elizabeth led provenance research and restitution projects internationally.

Katya Hills is the Business Development Manager and Managing Director of the Watch Register at the Art Loss Register (ALR). She has developed the company’s relationships with auction houses in the UK, USA, Italy, France and Poland. Katya founded and manages the operations and development of the ALR’s Watch Register, the largest international database of stolen watches, which offers due diligence services to the watch trade and recovery services for police and insurers.

Antonia Kimbell is the Recoveries Manager at the Art Loss Register (ALR). She handles the recovery of lost and stolen items such as artworks, antiques and watches, as well as related disputes and investigations. Her cases include insurance and transaction fraud, money laundering, major robberies, loans and fakes. Antonia launched the ALR’s Gun Loss Register, a database dedicated to stolen firearms.

A founding member of the Art Due Diligence Group, Pandora’s career involves over 20 years in management and sales at board level. As Vice President of Artnet’s global sales she was responsible for delivering digital subscriptions to the art industry, promoting luxury brands and enabling galleries and auction houses to promote their works online. Previously she spent 16 years as Managing Director at Bridgeman Images, licensing digital. Her work in the cultural sector also involved directing government funded projects. Pandora is a Liveryman in the Worshipful Company of Arts Scholars and a fellow of the RSA. Pandora has recently launched a course for on the appreciation and handling of fine art on superyachts and in private residences.

David Méheut is a partner in the Paris office of Clyde & Co focusing on insurance and reinsurance law as well as in international arbitration and mediation.

His experience in insurance law covers in particular coverage, monitoring and defence in matters of directors and officers liability, political risks, reinsurance, professional liability (lawyers, accountants, brokers, experts,…), art and species, engineering disputes, new technologies, data security and fraud. As such, he has acted for or advised on some of the major losses affecting the French market, including the Erika oil spillage, the Libyan revolution, reinsurance of 9/11, the Kerviel fraud, the LIBOR/EURIBOR/FOREX manipulations, the Madoff fraud. He has particular experience in handling cases in African countries operating under OHADA and CIMA rules, principally in relation to onshore and offshore oil and gas projects.

David has also developed an in-depth experience in international arbitration, more particularly ICC arbitration, in which he handles procedures both in French and in English. His commercial arbitration practice goes beyond his main sphere of activity and encompasses commercial litigation such as joint venture and distribution disputes. He generally advises insurers/reinsurers, professionals, financial institutions, industrial groups and energy companies

Michael’s practice is particularly focused on trade credit policy coverage advice and disputes. His recent experience includes advising and defending local insurers and global reinsurers on a wide range of complex, high value trade credit policy coverage disputes in the UAE local Courts, the Dubai International Financial Centre, and the ICC International Court of Arbitration.

After completing a master’s degree in law and the Ecole du Louvre, with a bachelor’s degree in art history and archaeology, he worked for Christies in London, and as well as for auctioneers in Paris (Tajan/Piasa), he then joined SERI EXPERT for Develop the expertise jewelry objects of art in 2006, and focused on flights and RC objects of art (graduate of ING and certified by insurance companies). In parallel he develops training in insurance schools on the art part, and becomes chairman of the Commission Art et Affinity de la FG2A.

He has created many structures dedicated to fine arts within the insurance environment including Elex Premium.

In 2017, he created Monuma, a pillar of the digital heritage expertise.

Alex began her insurance career with a placement at Price Forbes in 2010 and following this, was a successful applicant for the Willis Graduate Scheme, where she remained until moving to Marsh in 2017.

Alex services and places a global book of large and complex Fine Art and Specie placements and during her career, has handled some of the largest Fine Art collections in the market as a result of her proven record in delivering results and providing excellent customer service.

Mike Roderick is a partner with Clyde & Co in London and has specialised in cargo, specie and fine art insurance for over 30 years acting for London and foreign market insurers and reinsurers across a wide range of issues and disputes.

Peter Rossi is in his 20^th year of practice as a litigator and insurance lawyer.  For the past five years has been based out of Clyde & Co’s New York office as part of the Specialty & Investigations Team.  Peter’s practice focuses on insurance coverage in fine art, specie, and cargo matters. He advises insurers in connection with multi-jurisdictional disputes in both the first party and third party context, including claim investigations, fraud, policy interpretation, and bad faith.

John Shaw worked as a bus driver, elephant keeper and soldier before ending up as a loss adjuster & surveyor. He runs SW Associates who have ten specie adjusters working out of London & Paris. He is at times quoted in the press and features in a report in the August edition of Vanity Fair

SW Associates have been involved in several high profile robberies & in very high value surveys of jewellery & art collections from San Francisco to St. Petersburg, Tirana to Taiwan.

He is qualified FCILA and is a member of the Compagnie des Experts Agréés.

Pol Van der Steen, 65, is a technology expert and international consultant to the diamond industry. He holds a master’s degree in chemical engineering.

He was in involved in countless research projects and has authored a variety of training courses, books and manuals for diamond manufacturing and diamond grading.

Stephan Van Hauwe is the “Head of Security and Operations” at the Security Office of the Antwerp World Diamond Centre in which he manages security, cyber security safety, guarding and safety for the Antwerp diamond area and its communities, working in close partnership with Belgian and international police, security and intelligence services.

She currently sits on Advisory Council, following her service of two terms as Board Member for the AAA. She regularly lectures and has published for more than 50 organisations and institutions.
